Indication
*Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones.
*Dissolution of gallstones after cardiac surgery & bariatric surgery
Ursodeoxycholic acid:
Highly effective in the dissolution of multiple Gallstones than of solitary ones.
Reduces stone formation in morbidly obese Patients losing weight rapidly after bariatric surgery.
Decreases the relative concentration of Cholesterol in gallbladder bile.
Increase bile acid pool size by increasing the Bile secretion rates in gallstones patients.
