A broad-spectrum antibacterial agent with excellent activity against a range of gram+ve and gram-ve and typical organisms.
Faster bactericidal action and drug of choice in urinary tract infections.
Highly effective against pathogens like haemophilus influenzae, streptococcus pneumoniae & moraxalla catarrhalis in treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (AECB) as compared to cefuroxime axetil.
Effective & better tolerated than amoxicillin-clavulanate administered 3 times daily for treating acute sinusitis in adult outdoor patients.
98% clinical success rate as compared to 94% with ciprofloxacin b.i.d in the treatment of uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.
